When you purchase a gift card the recipient receives an email with the gift certificate, you can choose to have it delivered immediately or schedule it for a special day in the future.

A gift certificate does not have to be used for one and the same purchase, it can be used on several occasions as the balance are deducted from the gift card when you make a purchase, the gift certificate code is applied in the checkout. The gift card is valid for three years.
